Nestled on the serene shores of Lake Como, Villa Sola Cabiati in Tremezzo, Italy, stands as an epitome of luxury and elegance. Recently, this historical villa served as the stunning backdrop for our luxury wedding editorial photo shoot, aptly named “Lake of Swans.” At Lustre Theory, we had the immense pleasure of bringing this elevated vision to life. Every detail of the shoot is full of romance and grandeur.
Villa Sola Cabiati was once the summer residence of the Dukes of Serbelloni, who were prominent patrons of the arts and influential figures in Lombard society during the 18th and 19th centuries. The Neoclassical villa is a popular wedding venue and has hosted countless glamorous nuptials throughout its storied history. With its exquisite frescoes and majestic gardens, it remains a time capsule of elegance and bygone eras, making it the perfect backdrop for this project to unfold.

As our team and models arrived, we were greeted by the villa’s timeless beauty and breathtaking views of Lake Como. The shoot took place under a canopy of old world details and vibrant floral arrangements, meticulously designed to complement the villa’s rich history and stunning architecture with the help of Lake Como Florist. The centerpiece of the shoot was a grand table adorned with lush, colorful floral designs that perfectly mirrored the fresco painting on the ceiling, creating a harmonious blend of nature and art. These floral arrangements, with their vivid hues and intricate details, added a painterly quality to the entire setting, making it a visual feast for the camera.

We thoughtfully incorporated swan accents throughout the decor, adding a touch of whimsy and elegance. These graceful birds, symbolizing love and fidelity, added a layer of enchantment to the already magical atmosphere.

The details are always the most important part of our projects and they extend to every corner, with couture gowns that exuded sophistication and style. The models’ gowns, in particular, were masterpieces of craftsmanship, featuring delicate embroidery and luxurious fabrics that made them look like they had stepped out of a Renaissance painting.
Having the opportunity to visit Villa Sola Cabiati and capture these dreamy images was an incredible experience. The fusion of lush floral designs, swan accents, and couture fashion against the backdrop of Lake Como created an editorial that was not only a celebration of love but also a testament to our artistry and creativity. “Lake of Swans” will undoubtedly be remembered as a masterpiece of beauty and romance.
